So I want to leave you with a little thought this morning… just a little something to keep your mind on while you go throughout your day.
So here it is…
Don’t jeopardize the treasure you have for someone or something that doesn’t even know you have a treasure in you to be valued.
I see many young people nowadays come and be very powerful in their beliefs and morals. Then as soon as they get linked up with a certain crowd or fall for a certain person they drift off and I don’t see the same shine I did at the beginning of knowing them. I see this occur in students on campus and some are even close to me, like friends.
Many people spend all their energy seeking pleasure.
The Spirit of the Lord that dwells in you is your treasure. This lifestyle is one of the most valuable thing in this world. You lose this and you lose the blessings that comes with it. Whatever you have on earth is only temporary; it cannot be exchanged for your soul. This scripture, Mark 8:36, makes that pretty clear. If you work hard at getting what you want, you might eventually have a profitable life but there will still be that void, something that’s missing. This can add misery to your life.
Are you willing to make God a priority to keep your treasure valued? What’s more important to you? Your pleasures or your soul? Follow Jesus, and you can experience life more abundantly and have eternal life hereafter.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
